AiM Solo 2: The brand new GPS lap timer for motorsports

The new Solo 2 receives the data from two satellites constellations, GPS and Glonass: this is a huge step forward since it is unbelievably faster and more precise than the previous version.
The power ON requires only a few seconds and the lap times are calculated with a max 2/100 sec of tolerance.
The screen can be backlit in seven different colors
Find your track easily and quickly
Solo 2 can rely on a database of more than 3,000 tracks all over the world: as soon as it switches on, Solo 2 identifies its position, recognizes the starting line coordinates of the track and starts sampling lap times.
In case the track is not in the database, no problem: Solo 2 realizes it and enters into the auto-learning mode, automatically understands the characteristics of the track and gives the lap time anyway.
Predictive lap times
The predictive lap time function is much more reliable in the new Solo 2, and the configurable RGB LEDs will give you a clear and fast indication of the comparison with your best lap.
Race Mode Selection
Solo 2 can manage different types of races:
- Speed races in a closed circuit
- Point-to-point races
- Regularity
- Performance tests (0-60mph, etc.)
In each of these configurations, Solo 2 gives the proper information during the test and powerful data review immediately after each session.
Data recall on screen
At the end of your test, you can quickly review all the key information on your display.
Wi-Fi Enabled
Wi-Fi connection: easy, fast, without connectors nor cables: the best way to configure your Solo 2, to manage the track database, to download the data to your PC.

Awesome track equipment
Aim Solo 2 and bike specific mount (separate purchase) in-stock available from Sportbiketrackgear. Included all hardware to install. I already have it one the bike operational in less than a week!

Best Lap Timer I've used
Took it to barber for a track day and it immediately picked up the track. Held a charge all day and recorded every lap. I've had other gps laptimers that would miss the start finish line occasionally but the Aim Solo 2 performed perfect all day.

Pricey but still the best overall lap timer
Received, hooked up power to battery and charged over night. Worked the next day at a track/race event. Very easy to use and excellent tool for track use. Software makes it easy to download information as needed. Still a pricey option but one of the best out there. Clear and easy to see if mounted next to gauge cluster.

AIM Solo 2 GPS Lap Timer
Very nice laptimer. I have been using the Moto D Start Next Laptimer for the past 3 years and decided to try something new. Visually the unit is awesome to look at. The function buttons have a very positive feel with or without gloves. Easy to read display. I have not used the laptimer yet, but looking forward to using it at Barber this weekend. Side note: My first AIM Solo 2 had a mysterious missing lines going through the display screen one horizontally and one vertically. At first I thought it was like crosshairs and thought it was pretty cool with the whole AIM theme. Upon further inspection there was something wrong with the screen. No problem though. I contacted STG and they took care of me right away and I received my new unit in 2 days in time to make a custom bracket and mount it on my Yamaha FZ07R. So far I would highly recommend the AIM Solo 2 GPS Lap Timer and I would definitely recommend STG for your motorcycle riding needs. I couldn't be happier! Thanks STG!
