Akrapovic Racing system is designed for riders who demand maximum performance from their motorcycle. System is significantly lighter if compared to stock exhaust system and feature exceptional production quality, hi-tech materials and of course increased engine performance combined with pure racing sound output. The Akrapovic Racing system was developed to complement the racing character of the Fireblade. Racing system uses stainless steel header tubes and link pipe.
Features:
- Oval-shaped or hexagonal-shaped canister with your choice of carbon fiber or titanium outer sleeve
- Hexagonal mufflers feature a carbon fiber outlet cap to match the design of each bike
- Outlet cap, perforated inner sleeve and inlet cap are all made of titanium
- Joint of the inlet cap is milled on a state-of-the-art CNC machine and connected by high-quality, silicon-shielded tempered springs
- Include a lightweight, compact and high-temperature-resistant carbon fiber muffler clamp
- Conical shaped and hydroformed header is made of stainless steel; crossover tubes may be installed on certain models
- Link pipe may be cylindrical and in some models made of titanium; type of construction is based on maximum increase in performance
- When the position of the exhaust system needs to be changed and the stock bracket is no longer usable, a carbon fiber bracket is included

Excellent materials and welds
Too much trial and error assembling the exhaust, there are no alignment marks. The manual while it has plenty of pictures it does not show how to put together the runners and link pipes. Many people complain about tight fit, i hoped to be better than the rest, i was not and the fit is terrible. One of the link pipes will rub and get cut and leak hot exhaust into the oil pan. The materials used and the quality of the welds are incredibly good. I am sure Akrapovic is better than this but for this model year i recommend looking for another brand exhaust.
