I purchased the Akra shorty titanium slip on and the the z900 was barely any louder than stock. After installing the akra headers the bike sounds amazing. It might even be a little too loud and the dB killer is out of stock. Everything in the box was wrapped up nicely to ensure no damage The wields and quality look top notch. The only confusing part of the instructions was getting the headers into the cylinder head. The instructions could have been a little clearer about the flange, exhaust gaskets, and header pipes. The whole exhaust system went together very nicely. Also on Akra's website it states, the Z900 does not need remapped with the Akra full system. I emailed them and they responded that they designed the system with stock mapping.

I own a 2017 Kawasaki Z900 and the catalytic converter muffles the exhaust to basically nothing. I watched a few you tube videos before my purchase and many people go with slip ons but without the new header your exhaust will still be pretty mellow on this particular bike. STG pulled threw, gave me a great deal, great shipping as always, and my bike sounds better than ever and matches it’s appearance. Highly recommend Akrapovic and STG.

The Akrapovic headers for the 2017 z900 are awesome. The quality is unbelievable. The welds are spectacular. You can easily tell that Akrapovic is a step above the rest. I will recommend pairing these headers with either the street legal carbon slip on or the "shorty" titanium race slip on.
