Yeah baby!
I bought the 1986 Yamaha SRX-600 used about 2 years ago. noticed the 'clunk' in the steering a few months ago and confirmed it was the steering head bearings. Factory bearings are old school roller bearings and I am glad to be rid of them. SMOOTH and tight front end now. Confidence inspiring.
