1. not on par with A*'s typical stuff
I'm an Alpinestar fan boy, no shame in backing a company that provides solid protection options for riders. These shorts however left me disappointed as they are already seeing serious wear from only a handful of trackdays. Also i has hoping the hip portion of the protection would have offered greater impact absorption, these are no more advanced than crash shorts i've purchased about 10 years ago during my skateboarding days...i'll prob look into the Knox troopers or the Icon armored shorts for the next purchase.
