A* Nucleon Flex Pro Protection Vest
The zipper becomes wavy when zipped and doesn’t stay flat. The chest protection has much less coverage versus my older A* track vest. Ventilation is absolutely amazing, but it seems to have made the vest far less durable due to the material used versus the older version. The back protection is great and much more form fitting and less bulky than the previous version. A* seems to have had a great idea, but fell short in some key areas on the vest. XXL was impossible to find anywhere and would be great because the XL fits more like a L. I realize they are meant to fit snug having worn track vests for many years, but they run small imo. I’m definitely giving up a lot of protection compared to my older A* vest for the added ventilation of this newer one.

Form fitting protection that breathes
This is a great improvement over my old trusty A-Star back protector and now I have top tier chest protection as well. The vest is very snug fitting but not tight. It stays put under my leathers. It's not hot summer time yet but I have no doubt this will keep me relatively cool based on the amount of airflow I got front and back both upright and in a race tuck on the track. It felt SLIGHTLY heavier than I expected in my hands but the weight disappears when wearing it.

Alpinestar Nucleon Flex Pro Protection Vest
Admittedly I only put the vest on to see if it fit. It was uncomfortable, both the chest and back protectors. It was difficult to get my motorcycling jackets over the back protector. The chest protection restricted movement. I will continue to search for an alternative that offers good protection but also comfort.
