The Alpinestars Nucleon KR-C Chest Protector is designed to be used with select Alpinestars Back Protectors, replacing the shoulder straps to create a harness that covers both back and chest. There is a zipper down which splits the protectors allowing for easy entry and exit. The armor uses is their Nucleon KR-Ci Chest Inserts which are CE Certified and perforated for cooling. This product is designed to be used with the following Alpinestars Back Protectors:

Great product
When you wear it for the first time you can feel the volume of the armor added to your chest. But as soon as you start riding, the material adapt to your own shape and you forget to have it. I really recommend it since the first utilisation it felt natural to ride with it.

best option
I like this as an optional chest pad I can wear with any jacket, it lets air flow through freely and stays in position, I like this option better then stuck in and the jacket doesn't need a special space for it.

Awesome piece of protection
I bought this harness version one after I tried the KR-CiR (the insert race version) which I didn't like because it wouldn't stay in place even though my suit is pretty snug, so I had to return it. What I love about the harness chest protector is that first of all it stays in place at ALL TIMES and also helps the back protector stay in place while putting your suit on. It ventilates pretty well and the harness is pretty much unnoticeable while riding. I don't give it 5 stars because its not CE level 2 (just level 1 which is still great) and because it doesn't offer protection in the center of the chest, other than that this is a very nice piece of protection for a very reasonable cost! I would definitely would buy it again and hopefully in the future they come up with a full CE2 protection version of it

Good upgrade
I already had the Nucleon back protector and wanted to get a chest protector. This one clips right into my back protector and easy to put on and take off. I didn't need to bother with more straps or anything else. It's comfortable and the zipper doesn't feel cheap like some other options I've seen.
