1. Do Not Hesitate
So I am extremely picky with items on my feet, they need to be just right. After STG hooked me up with Cortech Impulse AIR RR boots that did not fit (return process was butter) I chose to step up and go for the brand I love, Astars.
Sizing, dead on...I wear a 9 shoe, ordered a 43 and it was DEAD ON. This boot feels like a slipper. The footbed is a little wider on this, probably more due to it being an entry level track or spirited street boot, and the comfort is second to none. The footbed has a fair amount of arch support, and is softer than many of the competitors boots on the market, I have not had to put a different insole in, and like I said, I am very picky.
The lateral movement is much more limited to say a shoe, but not as restrictive as a full on track boot, and I appreciate that ten-fold from the comfort standpoint. In and out is super easy with the zipper/Velcro closure.
The sole is very well done, keeping my feet planted on any surface. Even spilled some oil on a slick garage floor to test, and the resistance to slippage was even higher than my "oil resistant/non-slip" work shoes. Well done Astars, and STG, you guys rock!!
