Alpinestars SMX-6 V2 Vented Boots

These boots run true to size and they are comfortable. This was a definite improvement from my old boots I had gotten from a Harley Davidson Dealership. With the ankle support, toe box, and shin protector. I can tell I have been wearing the wrong product. Luckily I have not encounter in incidents .

Likes: -super-comfortable on and off the bike -ventilation is good but more for letting heat out than flowing a lot of air in. The fact that you don't feel a lot of airflow means they're usable in cooler weather also. -no "hard parts" on the bike-side surface of the boot means less scuffing, wear to your bike's frame, swingarm, etc. -smart toe-slider design -well-made -really easy to get into/out of Dislikes: - Velcro-closure flap tends to snag on footpegs and kick-stand when getting off bike. Not a big deal but kind of annoying

This pair of boots is the best purchase I have made up to date. They are a perfect fit, especially for all of you that tend to be a little wider in the foot. Once you break them in, they work as advertised. I live in Florida where the temperature reaches above 90 degrees on average and the fact that they are vented definitely adds to a more pleasurable ride. Although they are expensive, the fit and finish is top quality and I was not disappointed with my purchase.

Sooo....I just got these boots and on my first ride I low sided at about 35 mph. New bike with new tires and it just slid out from under me....grrrr.... Now granted, this wasn't a high speed crash, but the boots did their job and I walked away no problem. There was a pretty big scuff on the toe box where I think the rear brake lever hit. I just went out for a short ride on local streets and I almost didn't put these boots on. So glad I did otherwise I'm sure my foot would have been messed up. I was also wearing the Scorpion Ravin Leather Pants and jacket. Both of those performed well too, except I did have some bruising on my hip bone. I'm going to upgrade to some armored shorts to wear under the pants. So all in all, I got a bruised hip and bruised ego...could have been much worse. "All the gear, all the time"....so true...ride safe out there!

My nearly 3-year-old SMX-6s are still servicable but I wanted a new pair for sport riding and track days. The V2s fit my feet just as well as the old pair has done; I'm slowly breaking them in around the house now so they'll be ready to go when LA's rainy season finally ends. Great bang for the buck!

I needed a great summer vented boot that was quality built. Brian Van said they were comfortable... oh yes they are. Right out of the box, perfect fit quality made and soooo comfortable. I got the red white and black and they are stunning. I wear a 11.5 and the 45 Euro fit perfect.

These boots are super comfortable, but be aware that the Euro to US size chart is inaccurate. I wear a size 9 dress shoe and 9.5 sneaker, and the Euro 42 fits perfectly.

So I have a wide foot and this boot fits great. The ppl at the store helped me out the uk size.
