I love these gloves!
I purchased the Alpinestars SP-1 V2 gloves in size large about a year and a half ago. They are the most comfortable motorcycle glove I have owned, yet still have decent armor, perhaps one step down from the GP Pro kind of. I have a set of GP Pro for racing and these SP-1's are for the street riding. That being said I have used these on the racetrack when my other pair was soaked and I felt safe in them. The dextarity in them is great, and I have been using them racing Mini's. They have seen three crashes on the TTR with MiniGP and so far have held up excellent, with the last crash being a good lowside at about 45 mph. No tears, slight scuffing only on them. I highly recommend these gloves for any street rider or trackday rider that wants style, protection and comfort.
