1. ALPINESTARS SP X AIR CARBON V2 GLOVES
I have armored full gauntlet gloves for racing and light gloves for summer heat comfort but I wanted a compromise. A well ventilated armored glove for commuting in 100+ degree weather and my funeral escort side gig. I got the white and black to match my traffic control uniform. These are more toward the armor side with pretty good ventilation but my hands still get a bit damp inside and when put them on for the ride home after my regular 8 hour job, they still feel a bit damp. 5 stars for materials and construction though. I think there may be some neoprene padding which explains why they get damp and don't dry out very fast. Again, I'm talking about 90-100 plus degree days. At 80 degrees I have zero complaints about sweating. Full disclosure, my current commuter has barkbusters that block some of the wind. The hook and loop closure strap can be fiddly to grab and loosen. I wish it had a tab of some kind to grab onto. That said, these are now my favorite gloves for commuting, work and when I get on adventure dirt roads again, I'll wear them there too. Maybe I'll sew a grab tab onto the closure strap.
I have yet to try them out for shooting with my duty gun.
