As close to boots while still being casual "shoes"

Posted by Austin on 19th Nov 2024

As the review title says, these are probably as close to boots while still being like shoes as it gets. They could possibly go a little taller, but that would defeat the purpose of them. Size runs true. Comfortable right out of the box. Haven't broken them in hard yet, but had no issues with foot placement or shifting on the bike and felt just fine walking around. Also, if you're like me and your riding jeans pull up above your ankle when riding, these will cover the bare leg or sock area compared to other casual riding shoes. The one con, which isn't a big one, is I wish they had put a plastic guard on the left boot to prevent the breakdown of the pleather over time from shifting.

    Great riding shoes!

Posted by Brandon on 26th Feb 2024

I've finally found some riding footwear that fits! Call them boots, call them shoes...whatever. I have the hardest time finding some riding boots that fit me. I have a wide foot arch and big ankles and calves. I've tried many options from different brands: RST, Alpine Stars, Sidi, and others. All either not wide enough in the foot, ankle, or both. All the returns with STG were flawlessly smooth, as always! The Superfasters fit so good! I ordered them a size up from the shoes/tactical style boots i normally wear, and I'm glad i did. Fit is perfect. Just enough room across the footbed and toes, and the lace-up and velcro closure allow enough room for my ankle and lower leg. The medial side-zips work great. Lace 'em up and tie it once to get the fit right, and you're set. There is an elastic panel on the tongue to stuff the rest of the laces into. Noice touch! I've broken them in over the last several days or riding. They are comfortable to ride in, and to walk around in. And the more i wear them, the more they break in. There were a little stiff at first, and made it difficult to wedge my foot under the shifter. But, as with most good leather boots, they need some time and use to wear in properly. Shifting has gotten MUCH easier. The Superfasters give me the confidence i was looking for in a set of riding boots. Cons: I would like for them to be a little taller, but i understand that is not the style they are going for with these. And i would like to have some mote protection on the forward section of the ankle/lower shin. All in all, I'm super happy with the boots. Thanks STG for a great product!
