The all-new Arai Regent-X is designed to isolate you from distractions with the kind of comfort only Arai can deliver. Built with the same protection as our flagship Corsair-X model, the Regent-X features a new interior for both comfort and ease of taking it on and off.
Arai Regent-X Helmet Fitment | |
Intermediate Oval: Arai is the only company offering multiple interior-fit shapes to better address the infinite variety of riders’ head shapes and sizes. The Arai Regent-X uses their Intermediate Oval interior fit shape. Arai’s Intermediate Oval shape is a little shorter front-to-back and a little wider side-to-side compared to their Long Oval Shape. |
PB-CLC Shell
Born from Arai's exclusive Formula One helmet technology, the Peripherally Belted Complex Laminate Construction shell is developed to be both light and strong. The upper edge of the eye port is reinforced with Arai’s Peripheral Belt, custom woven in-house with proprietary super fibers to increase shell strength without adding thickness or weight.
One Piece Multi-Density Liner
A one-piece multi-density liner, tuned with varying densities according to the position and volume of each given area within each shell size, provides protection where it’s needed most, and allows Arai to make a compact helmet that puts protection first, and is as aerodynamic and light as possible.
Interior: Semi-Removable Liner
The top padding stays in place but the liner is fixed with Velcro and easily removed for cleaning.
Interior: Replaceable Cheek Pads/Ear Cups
Depending on the model, cheek pads, ear cups or the complete interior may be easily removed. All parts (replaceable or not) can be cleaned with lukewarm water and mild soap. Rinse well after cleaning and never dry in direct sunlight or near a heat source. Interior parts in different size thickness are available for a custom fit for every rider.
Comfort: 5mm Wider Base
The exclusive shell flares 5mm around the base, making it easier to get the helmet on and off (for newcomers to Arai the initial ‘snugness’ when putting the helmet on or taking it off can be challenging).
Rear Ventilation: One-Piece Rear Exhaust
Extracts more hot air from the helmets interior and improves aerodynamics.
Rear Ventilation: Side Exhausts
Produce low pressure behind the rear vent for better hot air extraction. Integrated in the shell for better aerodynamics, reduce wind noise and prevent buffeting at speed. Inside, a small foam dam helps to absorb and diminish excessive noise, without reducing ventilation performance.
Rear Ventilation: Neck Exhaust Vent
To enhance hot-air extraction from the interior. Increases the ventilation effect at the lower part of the helmet.
Chin Curtain
Attached to the bottom of the helmet, the new chin curtain helps to further accentuate the Egg-shape form. The curtain simultaneously blocks air intrusion from turbulent air below and increases negative pressure to enhance the exhaust function of FFS by drawing more air from the mouth area. The improved airflow reduces noise even further.
Facial Contour System (FCS)
To offer an even better snug fit and enhancing the comfort to the lower jaw, the Facial Contour System (FCS) works with a foam spring support in the cheek pad that compresses and rebounds, providing the necessary support without excessive pressure.
Tested
The Regent-X, along with all Arai models available in North America, meets or exceeds the SNELL M2020 standard, but only after they all first satisfy Arai's stringent in-house criteria.

Arai Regent-X solid helmet
I switched from Shoei and thought I would give Arai a try. Mistake...$600 mistake. While the fit and finish were good, I had issues trying to figure out the shield install and removal. And major issues while riding through rain and cold. The shield system is not very intiutive, it took me over an hour and multiple searches and watching youtube videos to figure it out. I think I would need to rewatch to get the shield off again. I just returned from a trip and we ran into rain and cold. So much water was collecting on the inside of the shield I literally was riding blind. This is an unsafe product. I opened vents, closed vents, cracked the shield open a bit, cracked the shield wide open, stood up, etc. the water would not clear. I did not have a pinlock, but if this helmet requires it to ride in the rain it should be included with the purchase. My friend had a Shoei, also without a pinlock installed, and did not have issues. Other niggling complaints. The vents and shield are very difficult to operate with gloves on. And the chin strap padding is not very effective and cuts into my throat so I cannot cinch it down very well. In my opinion this is an unsafe helmet and would recommend potential buyers look at other brands.

Arai Regent X
Awesome helmet. Easy on and off but still great Arai fit.

Extremely Comfortable Helmet
This is my first Arai helmet and I can't believe how comfortable it is. I went off the size chart and it is a perfect fit. I have no hot spots anywhere on my head and it is snug without being too tight. I've taken three rides with it and it is super quiet. I have been running with the visor at the first latch to keep from fogging but have not had the opportunity to try any of the vents since it's been chilly out. I would definitely buy again.

Regent X
I was excited for the helmet, but I’m not a big fan of how the top hat foam is non removable and glued to the eps liner. I like the fact the helmet is SNELL rated. It seemed to lack the refinement in finish of my Corsair V. Also, not a huge fan of the elongated shell that makes the helmet easier to get on/off or the taller chin bar. The liner is comfortable, but ultimately not what I wanted. I exchanged it for a Corsair X
