We feel the Arai XD4 Helmet Solid Colors has an Intermediate Oval Shape, while offering a comfortable fit with an easy on / off effort as compared to other race style helmets.

I was expecting more
This is my first premium helmet. Before this I owned the icon alliance and airmada. I trust the Arai more safety-wise mainly because of their history and word of mouth (the airmada especially was very well built). The helmet is comfortable enough, the brow and chin vents work well (but not the top vents as much,) there is little sail effect from the visor, the padding is ok. My old icon airmada vented much better and the lining felt much better against my skin. But, the Arai sits nicer on the top of my head than the airmada thanks to the padding there. With that said, I’ve only ridden in this helmet twice and the padding my break in. For reference: I ride an africa twin Live in Dubai (routinely ride in 90-110 Fahrenheit weather) I wore a medium in the airmada, the small XD4 fits me perfectly.
