The new Bell Three-Snap Shield is a throwback-style, full-coverage polycarbonate shield that fits the Bell Custom 500, R/T and Shorty helmets. The shield comes in clear, dark smoke, amber gradient, pink gradient and features Bell's NutraFog anti-fog, antiscratch and UV-protective coating.

A Decent Shield
I ordered the Ice Blue Gradient shield. I would have preferred the Gold Iridium shield but it was out of stock. I've only used the shield once on a cloudy rainy ride. Visibility was not an issue so I suspect that this shield is not dark enough for a bright sunny day. I consider this shield an alternative to a clear bubble shield. The shield snaps on securely to my Bell Custom 500 and allows a moderate amount of air to flow under the shield. The metal trim around the shield is a nice retro touch but I don't think it serves any real purpose beyond appearance.
