    Bell ProTint face shield

Great product that is way better than sunglasses. After 7 years the shield would not tint very much but I do not believe this is a flaw, even iron wears out.

    Bell Transition Shield

Posted by Tony G on 24th Feb 2019

Have had one to swap between my two (last-generation) Bell Star. Love how it works, and not having to worry about carrying a clear shield when it gets dark. Now that my wife is riding more with me in day/night conditions, I needed a second transition shield. Glad that sportbiketrackgear.com still carry them. Such a convenience. Worth every penny.

    Works great!

Posted by Craig B (Atlanta, GA) on 18th Sep 2017

I had one of these shields on my previous RS-1 high-viz logo helmet. It works awesome! Really nothing to complain about...I think you definitely get what you pay for price wise. I recently high-sided my 09 Street Triple and landed head first (helmet was trashed) and both the helmet and this faceshield did their job...no head trauma. Wish I could say that for the rest of my body (cracked sternum, 4 cracked ribs, tibia fracture, T5 compression fracture). But, I'm alive and walking thanks to the RS-1! I picked up another RS-1 here on STG for $99 closeout! Awesome helmet, and faceshield! Thanks STG

    Bell TintAdjust

I can't even explain the anticipation for the next Sunny day in Portland to ride with this tinted shield! If you're familiar with the PNW you understand my anticipation. This one of the best shields & helmet combination I've had in a long time. It is sensitive enough to adjust during overcast but be warned doesn't rapidly change for tunnel or entering garages! Overall a wonderful shield!

this shield is a must have for street riding. never have to mess with sunglasses in the day or fumble with not having your clear screen at night. this changes withing seconds and probably one of the best additions i've made to my helmet. DO NOT HESITATE THIS IS MONEY WELL SPENT

    I love this shield

Posted by Rusty Holtzen on 28th Feb 2017

I've owned many different hoods and shields over the years. This shield is the cats meow! It transitions fast, and I don't have to worry about carrying two different ones now. However on that note I have noticed that it does fog up on my. Not too bad but worth bring up. Also In the dark I have noticed that I get a Halo effect from oncoming headlights. I would tell anyone to buy one. Do follow the direction and keep em in the dark though.

    Amazing Clarity

Easy to install, and the clarity is superb. Was concerned that being Photochromic the optic would not be as clear. Was I wrong.

    Pretty cool visor

Posted by JP on 9th Dec 2016

STG offered this at a discount when I bought a new Bell helmet. I never had a transition visor, so thought it would be worth a shot. So far I definitely recommend it (although I have only been able to use it in daylight once). The transition was steady, but noticeable and it does go all the way to a dark smoke once it's bright enough outside, which on a solid black helmet, always looks cool. It returns to clear fairly quickly as well. It's nice not to need to worry about sun glasses or changing visors because it gets dark. Bonus.... it is set up for pin lock as well ! And, to anyone who says that they should tell you to keep stored in the dark... IT DOES say that, you just have to read the paperwork that it comes with.
