Radial master cylinder designed for road bikes that allows top level response time and perfectly modulated braking in any conditions of use, with excellent linearity between the force applied to the lever and braking response. The 17 RCS further enhances the braking feeling of all sports bikes equipped with the latest Brembo Monoblock M50 caliper. Optimization of the hydraulics between the M50 caliper and 17 RCS master cylinder was the result of painstaking design work to provide greater braking performance.

This master cylinder is equipped with the RCS system, patented by Brembo for adjustment of the leverÂ’s inter-axis, which allows the ideal feeling between rider and bike to be achieved. In just a few seconds, using a simple screwdriver, the brakes can be made more aggressive and responsive (20 mm) or softer and more adaptable (18 mm). With the cam in position 18, highlighted in red, a more adaptable braking feeling can be achieved; with the cam in position 20, highlighted in black, the braking feeling is sharper and more responsive.

This model uses a 17 mm diameter piston and a folding long lever (LL), a detail which is particularly popular with Racing riders and track day enthusiasts.

Brembo uses only cutting-edge procedures and processes to ensure outstanding operation and performance. In fact, the aluminum alloy master cylinder body is obtained through forging and is subsequently machined with numeric controlled machines.

As with all RCS master cylinders, the RCS 17 also comes with a micro-switch kit to activate the brake light and a special coupling for connection to the hydraulic line.

Items required to complete installation:

• We suggest using the Brembo Brake Reservoir Mounting Kit (Brembo Part# 110.A263.85) as it includes a reservoir, bracket, hardware and tubing.
• The 17RCS includes a double banjo bolt with 4 copper washers. This will work if you have a 2 brake lines coming off the master cylinder. If you only have 1 line off the master you will need a M10x1.0 Single Banjo Bolt Brembo Part# 06.2228.76 or equivelant.
• If you intend to use your stock reservoir you will require a length of 6mm Tygon 2375 Tubing and 2 3/8" Spring Clamps.
• Brake fluid will be needed. We suggest replacing all of the fluid in the system when you install the master.
• The Speed Bleeder Bag and Hose Kit is a real asset when bleeding the brakes. It can keeps the job clean and can be reused.
