    Pretty disappointed

Posted by Myles Titus on 4th Mar 2020

This was purchased for a 2017 R6. The install went about as I would have expected. I did have to splice turn signal wires together, no plug and play, but that was no Big deal. There are are three things about this product that have left me pretty disappointed. First, the included turn signals are not very bright especially in the day time. This is by far my largest gripe with the kit, as I had very high hopes for these turn signals because they do look good. Second, the license plate light is awful. It is dim and so directional that when combined with how close it is to the plate itself, it only lights up a bit of the plate about the size of a quarter. However, with the angle of the plate bracket, the tail light itself does a decent job lighting up the plate. My last disappointment was the build quality of the plate bracket itself. It is not welded, rather all components are riveted together. Time will tell if this becomes a problem. TLDR: I plan on replacing the turn signals with ones bright enough to be seen during the day, I will need to work out another way to light up the plate, and I’m a bit suspicious of overall build quality and whether it will last more than a few years without the rivers loosening up. I would have to say I would not recommend this to a friend. It does look nice though.
