Competition Werkes was started in a garage in 1984 as a second income to Ward McKee to support his dirt track racing habit. Since then, his design of eliminating the fender caught on and Competition Werkes is one of the most sought after fender eliminator kits. In 2006 the company expanded to begin producing exhausts and other quality after market motorcycle accessories. Competition Werkes is American made and is available for most current motorcycles.
