Worth It?
I recently installed these sliders on my 2018 Ninja 400, and I'm not sure they were worth all the trouble. Having to remove the axle and then trying to get everything back together and in alignment proved somewhat difficult for me. Once completed, they do look great on the bike. I can see them providing protection to the rear wheel and the brake calipers. A glaring problem is that the bolts shipped with the sliders are about a half inch too long (they would bump against the frame, not allowing me to torque). I had to buy new shorter bolts, which ended up working just fine. All in all, I like the sliders. They look great and should provide a fair amount of protection. However, I might suggest another type of slider (e.g. spool sliders) that doesn't involve having to remove the entire rear axle. If you're better at wrenching on a bike than I am, then go for it. But if you're a novice, you might steer clear.
