Fresh air injected into the exhaust system on modified sportbikes can cause back pressure in the headpipes and muffler due to unburnt fuel from modified fuel mapping combined with additional oxygen spontaneously combusting in a high heat environment. Our blockoff plates will stop the annoying and possibly damaging back pressure from occurring while allowing you to remove a few pounds in associated valves and hoses fromyour bike. On late model EFI bikes with 02 sensors, ESPECIALLY when using Dynojet's Power Commander V with the Autotune feature, the air injection system MUST be blocked as it will introduce additional oxygen into the system which will skew your 02 sensor's values and make it impossible to get a correct tune.

Ready To Tune
After installing a full system I noticed a few pops when revving out at speed. Looked into block off plates and realized it would be best to get these prior to my scheduled tune. With the help of the install video it was a pretty straight forward install including the removal of the stock hardware. Make sure you have the proper tools.

Fit perfectly aften uninstalling air box and contents. (Requieres a bit of tech experiense on motorcycles or you can strip screws. They have factory threadlock on. And it's in a very uncorfortable spot. Good luck! I lovethe way mine came out, i shoot amazing blue flames lol, some upgrades may be required lol. But mostly stock. (Full exhaust, k&n, flash tune and others. )
