Almost perfect
I've come to trust Driven as a brand. After a close call at a recent trackday, I decided it was time for a lever guard and chose Driven's offering. It was everything I expected from them, but with a pinch of disappointment. The instructions were a bit lacking and stated it should be installed by a pro. Not a big deal since it's pretty simple. The bolt that holds the guard end was either too long, or the hole in the main body too shallow. Certainly not the level of quality that I would have expected from Driven. But, overall this is a quality piece and I'd recommend it to anyone. Instructions = 3* Finish = 5* Ease of install = 4*

Installation tips on a 2018 Ninja 400
NOTE: I also bought and installed the Driven brake lever guard on my bike, and the tips in this review also apply to that kit. First, you will need the M6-to-M8 thread adapters because the 400's stock bars are internally threaded M8, and the socket head cap screws that come with this kit are M6. The cap screws that come with this kit are also partial thread (PT), as in there is about 10mm of the screw from the head down that is just a smooth barrel. This smooth 'neck' part pushes the screw's threads too far down and overshoots the stock bar's internal threads, thus there won't be enough male-to-female screw surfaces working together for a secure fit. You can get yourself some full thread (FT) M6-1.0 socket head cap screws from a hardware store, or you can use the OEM fasteners that hold the 400's stock mirrors because those are in fact full thread M6-1.0 socket button cap screws. Just like what Brian says, I recommend using just a little bit of blue thread locker between the OEM cap screws and the M6-to-M8 adapters, and also a little bit on the adapter threads themselves before you screw it into the bar. Try not put more than a tiny bit because the tolerances are tight, and excess thread locker gets squeezed out which kinda makes a mess. It's gonna be a tight fit because of residual thread locker in the internal threads of the bar from the stock bar end weights, but work slowly and smoothly until you get the mirror flush and torqued down (about 5 ft-lbs).

Not an easy install for OEM handle, modification is required for a 2018 GSX-R1000, nice look, I got this for my friend's bike in Venezuela and all my fellow riders loved the product's quality is a 4/5

Awesome Lever Guard!
This lever guard is similar in price to other competitors but they don't include the customization of adding your competition racing number which is super cool! I got the silver which looks great on my black and silver race zx10r! It assembles in a minute or two and comes with two options depending on your bar I.D. Haven't crash tested it yet but it will protect an accidental brake pull on track and the bling factor on my bike gained some points... Thanks STG!
