Graves Motorsports Smog Block Off Plates for Yamaha and Kawasaki model Sport Bikes. Graves Motorsports Smog Block Off Plates are designed to seal off the ports on the valve cover used by the air injection system (a.k.a smog pumps or AIS). Sold in pairs
The air induction system (AIS) burns unburned exhaust gases by injecting fresh air (secondary air) into the exhaust port, reducing the emission of hydrocarbons.
Once these are capped off the air injection system can be safely removed. These Smog Block Off Plates are made from CNC'ed billet aluminum and feature the Graves Motorsports "G" logo. There are two reasons why you want to remove the air injection system from your bike;
- 1. If you are using your motorcycle on a closed course (racing, track days, etc.) you will want to remove all unnecessary equipment from your bike for reduced weight and ease of maintenance.
- 2. To get an accurate Air:Fuel (A/F) ratio when dynoing the bike. The air injection system pumps fresh air directly into the exhaust stream in order to burn off any unused fuel. Unfortunately by doing this the A/F ratio is thrown off by the extra "fresh air" in the exhaust stream. By removing the air injection system you can achieve an accurate A/F ratio.

Precise fitment, zero issues.
great fitment, zero issues and over all a great product as always from graves. fitting them to the bike, just make sure the opening goes over the pin or post like features of the reeds. i made this mistake and like bryan vance said, i heard a great noise that made it sound like my bike was broken, so i went back in, flipped them around and perfect ever since.

Good product. But if STG can mention that the FI light will come after taking off the air injection system, we will save time for not making some researches and buy the PAIR eliminators online.

Hands down aesthetically the best looking block off’s
As always from graves and being an AMERICAN MADE product, 100 percent worth it. Aesthetically pleasing and classy. Does not look or feel cheap.

Graves smog block off plates
If you're looking to lose a bit of clutter around your engine, make it easier to change spark plugs and help eliminate exhaust gurgle/popping on deceleration then look no further. Great fit and finish on my R1 - install was easy, but getting the 2 Allen heads off (especially the ones closer to the frame) were a bit of a pain as I had to use regular L shaped allen key to access them. It also comes with a rubber plug to close up the fresh air port that was removed from OEM system.

Awrsome fit!!
These were better than what i thought they would be. I have a 2018 R1 with a yoshi alpha series slip on, titanium midpipe. My ECU has been flashed and have a PC5 with autotune as well as a K&N filter. The backfire was crazy when letting off the throttle to either shift or just slow down. I wasnt sure if these would work in eliminating the backfire, but all sites said it was a must have. Well....they definitely worked! No more backfire at any points in shifting or slowing down. The installation was super easy if you have any mechanic experience level. The video that Brian does on the install is phenominal and a great step by step if you have no mechanical experience. I would recommend getting these for sure!
