    HJC DS-X1 SYNERGY HELMET

Posted by Danny on 29th Nov 2022

I try to buy local before going online but I did not find an adventure helmet that would accommodate eyewear. I asked STG via email for a recommendation and they suggested the HJC DS-X1 SYNERGY HELMET. When I first looked at it, the grooves for eyewear looked almost non existent and I was prepared to return it. I tried it on with glasses and it seemed okay so I gave it a try on the road. I expected the padding to pinch the earpieces against the side of my head but after an hour and a half, I did not notice anything which is exactly what you want. It did seem to get buffeted by wind starting around 60mph but it's an adventure helmet and not meant for high speed. It looks good and it's light. I'm keeping it. Now if I could just get a photochromatic shield for it, that would be perfect.
