HJC HJ-26ST Pinlock-Ready Shield - Gold Mirror
I changed the original visor with the tinted gold mirror and use the HJC “pinlock” insert – the optics are excellent and works well with the HJC “pinlock” antifogging insert. There is a statement with large letters, as part of the packaging, that this face shield is to be used only on a closed track, or as decoration, and not for street riding. It does not say the reason and it is advertised as I replacement for the original face shield, so I have no idea why however it works just fine. I will give it 4 stars (otherwise 5) because this fact is not specified on the description and it is not clear why and if it is just a general disclaimer leftover from some bureaucratic process. It is not a high definition yellow – it is tinted with yellow/gold mirror finish on the outside. It is not too dark however I have not felt the need to use the integrated darker helmet sunshield while riding so far (morning/late afternoon in coastal California).
