1. It's a Hotbodies Product
I haven't bought a new mod for my motorcycle in a long time. So, after looking at my bone stock 2008 1000RR and wanting to inject a little excitement back into a ride I haven't ridden in a while, I said to myself that I should pick up a cheap slip-on exhaust. One of the cheapest, non-universal exhaust was the HB MGP exhaust.
The last time I bought a mod, Hotbodies had a reputation. After installing this product, it shows that the reputation remains. It's not a particularly confidence inspiring product. The build is good enough. The fitment was good enough. But when it came time to install the spring that connects the midpipe to the muffler, the hanger was welded so close to the wall of the pipe that I couldn't slip the hook through. Hotbodies. Par for the course.
But, I gave it 4 stars because if that's the only issue, then I'm fully satisfied with having spent a couple of Benjamins on this. It looks good, sounds good, and I'm not the least bit disappointed, because my expectations were grounded.
I would still recommend it!
