Fit right into my new RST jacket. So far so good. Hope I never need to test its effectiveness.

this back protecter fits into the pocket on my bates leathers, and is small enough not to cause too much binding. it's flexible and resilient, but reasonably firm. i would have given it five stars, but its design makes it vulnerable to excessive bending. it's flexible but won't stretch, and so if its bent too far or pulled, it will separate along its perforations. having said that, my first one lasted a two years and only disintegrated when mishandled outside the leathers. i recommend it for what it's designed to do, but leave it in your leathers or take measures to protect it when you take it out.

this is an inexpensive and effective back protector that slips easily into the rear pocket on my bates leathers. works forever in that application, but is fragile, since its construction requires near-through sinusoidal cuts to provide flexibility. i would have given it a five except for the fragility when removed from the pocket. be careful with it and it will last forever.
