    A nice touch

As another reviewer posted, the shift shaft clamp will have to be rotated in order to use the factory shift rod in normal shift mode. And I had to move the shift pedal to the forward most hole on the mount to make everything fit. Even in regular shift, the heim joint bolt had to be ran from the inside out to have enough clearance to work through the gears. My kit came with everything needed to install it, except the heel guards were not the red carbon, but plain black and white. The parts are very well made and look super nice! I really wish the info about the shift shaft clamp would have been mentioned in the instructions or in the install video. I put these on a '22 Ninja 400.

    Beautifully Functional

My kit for the 2018 Ninja 400 came with the required brackets to utilize the stock spring-loaded brake light switch. I did needed to shorten the switch's travel length for this foot brake to actuate the brake light. The clutch side required the shift lever clamp to be flipped upside-down to allow usage of the stock tie-rod when going for the regular shift pattern (which I opted for). Referring to the service manual for the bike, it was easy enough to do as you only need to loosen the shift lever clamp bolt, pull the shift lever from the shift shaft, then put it back on upside-down (tighten the shift lever clamp bolt to 8.8 ft-lb). The kit also came with diagrams to help set that 90-degree orientation between the shift shaft knuckle and the tie-rod, and the shift lever pivot point to the tie-rod. The foot rests are definitely high-grip, and they have little spikes at the end that can catch on your pants on the back of your leg if you're not being careful, so be aware of that.
