All M4 Quiet Inserts are compatible only with M4 Exhaust Systems that retain the quiet insert using a snap ring. All M4 Quiet Inserts are compatible with new purchases. If you would like to purchase a quiet insert for an M4 System purchased more than two years ago from STG the insert will only fit your system if it is retained using a snap ring.
All M4 Exhaust listings on our website list which quiet inserts are compatible. You can easily determine which quiet inserts are compatible with your M4 exhaust system by referring to your exhaust's listing on our website.
You can expect a db reduction that ranges from 1-2 db on a Stage 1 Quiet Insert and 3-4 db Stage 2 Quiet Insert. Please understand that every bike is unique which influences the db reduction of the M4 Quiet Insert from one motorcycle model to the next.

Q3 Stage 2 db silencer on 2019 ZX6R
Installed a GP19 slip on for my 2019 ZX6R and found it ear piercingly loud. When riding all I could hear was the sound of the exhaust, which got tiring after a while. Installed the Q3 Stage 2 db silencer and now it sounds perfect to me. Measured 93.5 db during cold start with the stock insert, and 86.4 db during cold start with the Q3 Stage 2 insert. Now it sounds "nice and loud", rather than "too loud". Fast shipping from Sportbike Track Gear!

Bought this to see if I could low the DB on my street slayer exhaust. Definitely reduced it somewhat compared to the insert M4 gave you, but rest assured that even still the exhaust is extremely loud. Highly recommend if looking to tame the sound slightly.

Definitely a must have
If you're anything like me and love your M4 exhaust but live in a condo/apartment complex this is certainly very helpful to have! I have a 2019 Kawi ZX6R with an M4 Street Slayer full system so my bike is a little on the loud side and I want to be respectful of my neighbors. Also, I live in California so enough said about riding a street bike with a full system haha. Now that I have this thing in I no longer need to pull my clutch in when I lane split next to a cop. By the way, I got the Q6 stage 2 DB reducer for my Street Slayer. It fits perfectly and doesn't sacrifice a good sounding tone. It does make it noticeably quieter and helps out a lot. It's worth it.

Saved my ears
Got this because my bike came with an M4 exhaust with no baffle and it was just TOO loud, made riding unpleasant. Now I don't have to worry about annoying my neighbours and can ride in comfort. Highly suggest if you don't want a stupid loud bike but like the look / sound of the M4s

I bought the Q5 Stage 1 baffle to reduce the sound of my 2015 FZ-09 M4 exhaust system when I would leave for work early and when I would arrive home from a late ride. This is the perfect in-between for my needs as it fits the early/late departure/arrival without sacrificing the on-road noise that helps other drivers with motorcycle awareness.
