All M4 Quiet Inserts are compatible only with M4 Exhaust Systems that retain the quiet insert using a snap ring. All M4 Quiet Inserts are compatible with new purchases. If you would like to purchase a quiet insert for an M4 System purchased more than two years ago from STG the insert will only fit your system if it is retained using a snap ring.
All M4 Exhaust listings on our website list which quiet inserts are compatible. You can easily determine which quiet inserts are compatible with your M4 exhaust system by referring to your exhaust's listing on our website.
You can expect a db reduction that ranges from 1-2 db on a Stage 1 Quiet Insert and 3-4 db Stage 2 Quiet Insert. Please understand that every bike is unique which influences the db reduction of the M4 Quiet Insert from one motorcycle model to the next.

M4 Q4 Stage 2
I bought the Q4 stage 2 reducer for my 2017 FZ09 M4 exhaust. The stock M4 exhaust was just too loud for my taste and the neighbors. This reducer helped quite a bit. It's just loud enough to let other vehicles know you are there but not too loud anymore. Would definitely recommend.

M4 Exhaust Quiet Insert (Db Reducer)
This insert worked great. It removed much of the droning at highway speeds and has a deeper tuned sound. After running it hard all weekend, I personally believe the M4 exhaust should come with this silencer and have the louder one as an option.

M4 stage one db killer. Loudest one but just right i think
I have a full system and this one is the most suitable i think loud but not stupid. I havent ridden it yet but i think its the best for the return wave for back pressure and creating a venturie effect on top of it. I have an olson midpipe and it worked nice. I aslo got the carbon heat sheild which is awesome but it was a bear to put on. One bolt but couldnt get at it.

Must buy for any m4 exhaust
I purchased the m4 exhaust for my fz09. The drone was quite annyoing to me and the exhaust was quite loud for my neighbors. With the fz you don't really have many choices for quieter exhausts but this baffle for the m4 is amazing. Still has relatively the same sound just big quieter and with NO drone or resonance noise. Well worth the money.
