Still not convinced that Pilot Power is for you? Well, now there's a dual-compound version, a direct descendant of our MotoGP technology. With a softer rubber mix on the shoulders, the new Pilot Power 2CT will satisfy even the most demanding sport riders. Want to carve corners at extreme lean angles? Do you feel like you've found the limit with your current tires? Does your new literbike have more power than your tires can use? If so, then it's time to switch to the new Pilot Power 2CT.
2-Compound Technology divides the tread into different sections, each occupied by a different rubber compound intended to perform a specific function.
On Michelin Pilot Power 2CT tires, the center of the tread is capable of withstanding high speeds, sudden acceleration and braking, and other demanding riding conditions. The outer edges of the tread come into use at maximum lean angles. Their rubber compound is 20% softer than the center tread, to provide optimal grip at lower speeds and thus delivering outstanding traction when cornering.

- 51.2% lean angle in the dry and 43% in the wet: a new benchmark for a hypersport tire. **

Predictable confidence inspiring.
Most of my riding is mountain roads and this tire is perfect. No warmup, plenty of grip all day. Decent mileage too. Excellent street tire.

Rear Tire 2005 Hayabusa
The Michelin Pilot Power 2CT has been my go to tires the last few years. The are reliable, have good traction, and they wear pretty good. This last rear tire on my Hayabusa I had for almost 11,000 miles. I would say I did pretty good. If we had more curves here in Florida I may have gotten more mileage out of it, but for a lot of straight up riding on the streets and highways, I'd say this Michelin did pretty damn good.

Great tire
Been using different versions of Pilot Power for years on an FZ1. Very stable, predictable tire that works well in wet and dry and wears well.

Michelin Pilot Power 2CT tires Set
I drive more than 5-7k miles per year on my '06 Yamaha FJR. I push the bike hard and waste no time driving long distances. Everything in Vermont is 40 miles away and the tires wear quickly. The tires give good cornering and braking performance and reasonable fuel economy when inflated correctly. I'll likely need another set by this time next year. I've been riding for 50 years and this is now my every day ride. I need the power and performance of the FJR to get me out of scrapes with less than good drivers. The tires are part of that performance.
