Yet another sport touring radial tire breakthrough from Michelin: With MICHELIN Pilot Road 4 tires on your motorcycle, you'll ride with more confidence - rain or shine, hot or cold, city or highway.

Available in 3 versions:

Version breakown:

  • Standard: The industry standard for all-around sport touring use.
  • GT: Patented new technology provides stability for GT-Class bikes while riding solo, 2-up, or with luggage.
  • Trail: The sport touring tire for trail bikes ridden exclusively on roads.

Stops faster:

Thanks to new XST+ sipes, MICHELIN Pilot Road 4 tires stop faster in the wet than any other tyres in the category. The MICHELIN Pilot Road 4 tire stops 17% faster than its closest competitor on wet roads, and 24% faster on a wet slippery surface such as a pedestrian crossing or painted lines. All of which means, riding in the rain should feel safer and more secure, and a lot less stressful.

Lasts longer:

Thanks to improved 2CT technology, new MICHELIN Pilot Road 4 tires last up to 20% longer than the MICHELIN Pilot Road 3 tires. Over the long run, that adds up to fewer tire changes and a lower total cost of ownership.

Grips the road in virtually all conditions:

All-new silica-charged rubber compounds were developed for the MICHELIN Pilot Road 4 tires. These compounds are specially formulated to provide excellent grip on a wide range of road surfaces, including painted lines and pedestrian crossings, making it easier for you to ride with confidence in virtually all conditions.

MICHELIN 2AT provides extra stability for heavier loads:

Whether you are riding your GT-class bike solo, 2-up or with luggage, you'll appreciate the added stability provided by MICHELIN's new 2AT technology. With MICHELIN 2AT technology, your heavy touring bike will feel stable and secure in both straight line and cornering situations.

    10k miles

Posted by Brian Capps on 25th Mar 2017

I have 10k miles on these and handling has alwasy been phenomenal. I have these on a 2014 Fz-09, i have worn them to the edges , wheelied off of a light during pouring down rain, and basically done aggressive shenanigans through the entire life of the tire, highly recommended. I have another 1-2k miles left in the rear tire, i have another set on the way.

    Life with stick

Posted by Jim on 16th Jan 2017

I have ridden about 200 miles on the tire since installation. Good grip despite being a touring tire. I feel I can ride the back roads with confidence. Now if it lives up to the mileage claims it will be a real winner.

Gets decent mileage. Has good traction in dry and wet Rather expensive however I buy anyway because of good traction

    My favorite sport-touring tire

Posted by Mike Bacon on 1st Jun 2016

Been running PR4s since they superseded the PR3s. Best over-the-counter rain tires (I think), and the best-handling tires my MG Stelvio has had. Front is a PR4 Trail, rear is a standard 180-55. I've not had good luck with the PR4-GT and prefer the standard.

    Feel Secure - High Mileage

Posted by Brent on 27th May 2016

I had 2 sets of Road 2's in the past. 12K miles each on an '05 Kawi 636. Loved them. Always felt confident through hard turns. The length of life was incredible. I am excited to see how these Road 4's do on my '06 R1.

    Simply the best

    Posted by CharlieF1 on 24th May 2016

I have just about lost track of how many sets of Michelin Pilot Roads I've gone through on my VFR-750F, probably one set of each generation, maybe more. Now I'm on PR-4s and expect them to be more awesome than any tire I've used in the last 40 years. Actually I'm so happy with Michelin that I couldn't bear to try another brand for fear I'd be disappointed. I recently rode home to Colorado from California on a new-to-me Triumph Tiger with a good PR-4 on the front and a mostly used up one on the rear. Encountered some serious rain several times on mountain roads, but the bike was solid and I never once felt the least bit worried. I always buy from STG, great prices, fast shipping.

    Good MOJO!

Posted by FlaFeralCat on 2nd May 2016

2014 Honda NC-700X I bought a rear because I caught a nail in the same PR-4, which after 6000 plus miles they were barely 1/2 worn. :( I like these so much, although I often hop brands just to try new things, I decided to stay with the same, . Last year Florida was getting rain/storms almost daily and these tires absolutely don't seem to care how hard it's raining, (within logical reason- they won't swim.. ) or if it's sunny; they just grip and ride well. Turn in was so radically more aggressive than the stock tire my NCX came with, I actually needed some time to get used to how much faster the bike would maneuver and corner. Good MOJO!

    Year round tires

Posted by Alex on 10th Mar 2016

I rode on pilot road 3s for a couple years and the 4s are all that and better. Sticky from the get go, they feel tons better than my stock dunlop sportmax q2's while on my FJ-09. In the dry or wet the bike feels much better tacked onto the ground.
