The Kit has the Ohlins proven “NIX” design which features compression damping in the left leg and rebound damping in the right leg. This allows for a more precise function and stability. Adjustments are made at the top together with the spring preload and the cartridge system fits bolt-on and is easy to install in standard front forks.

Ohlins FKS 224 Cartridge Kit for Ninja 400
The original 2019 Kawasaki Ninja 400 forks suited my weight for preload sag, but required additional compression and rebound damping to suit my riding style. This cartridge kit drastically improved the fork's performance with the recommended default settings being very close to what I desired. I'm a licensed aircraft mechanic, but even so, this kit is probably the easiest fork cartridge kit to instal with average skillsl. No extreme modifications required. I even made the stopper plate tool with simple hand tools from aluminum bar stock. The pull-up tool was made from nothing more than an 8mm X 1.25 bolt, nut and coupler cobbled together from Ace Hardware. Nothing to be intimidated about if you have basic skills with fantastic results.
