PIRELLI DIABLO ROSSO II REAR TIRES FOR TRACK USE

Posted by Van Liangas on 3rd Aug 2021

Hands down Pirelli Diablos are the best tires! I have been running them on all my bikes since they were first released back in the day. I currently have Super Corsa SP on my Ducati 999S and Monster 1200R and I just put a new set of Rosso lls for my Suzuki GSXR 600 last year and since have decided to fully commit that bike to track use. I was weary at first about they would hold up and perform in that setting, but they were brand new so I broke them in on the street and did my first track day at NYST a few months back. The Tires Performed Incredibly! I was blown away by the grip they provided and feedback. I also was impressed with how fast they came up to temp and how well they wore. I have since done 3 more track days and one had some wet weather. I would recommend these all day long to anyone. And as far as street grip is concerned...If they perform this well on the Track, I'll say no more! 2 thumbs Up

    Excellent Tire for Ultra Lightweights

Posted by Matty on 12th Feb 2021

Ive used this tire racing my Ninja 250 and Yamaha R3. It's a great trackday and even racing tire. I have done sub 2:00's at CVR with this tire in the back. The best combo for racing/trackday for an ultra lightweight bike is to use the 140/70/17 rear tire and a DOT or slick race tire for the front in a 110/70/17 or 120/70/17

    Rosso 2

Great tires. Used for awhile on ninja 300 track bike. Perfect for novice pace and even into intermediate pace. However on a fast track with lots of fast corners on a hot day, they did start to shred pretty hard. But on smoother tracks, and not a super fast track at a fast pace, on a very hot day , these tires will do very well. Only under those very tough perfect storm of conditions did the edges start to tear badly.

My ducati monster came with this tire, unfortunately I had a flat (nail). I liked the tire, but I want to talk about the amazing service that I received from STG. incredible fast shipping (free), I ordered the tire on Sunday, and I received on Tuesday. Best price I found on the web. Smooth online transaction. I will buy again from STG. Thank you.

Great Track Tire for Small Bikes

Posted by Matt on 12th Dec 2018

This is a great tire for doing trackdays and even racing for ultra lightweight bikes like the Ninja 250, Ninja 300, Yamaha R3, and KTM 390. You don't have to worry about compounds as you would dedicated race tires and grip well. So far I have done 2:02's at Chuckwalla Valley Raceway both directions on a Ninja 250 and Yamaha R3 and hoping to go faster on these to find its absolute performance limit

Best Non-DOT race tire for Ultra-Lightweight Bikes

Posted by Matty on 17th Jan 2018

I use this rear tire for my Ninja 250 track and race bike in a 140/70/17 size. You dont have to worry about using tire warmers or hot and cold pressures. Just set the cold pressures in the morning and you're good.

Great lean angle on these. Confidence inspiring on the street and very track capable. Love these on my 04 Buell XB12S
