The Pit Bull Trailer Restraint System is a revolutionary way to transport your motorcycle using a combination of features never seen before. It holds the bike from its rear axle and allows both tires to rest on the floor of the trailer or transport vehicle. It offers the following three advantages:
- (1) There are no straps holding the bike down. This minimizes the space used in the trailer and eliminates the chance of damage caused by straps.
- (2) The motorcycle rests on the trailer floor with no added force on the suspension. This means no more blown fork seals caused by heavy strap tension, and a flat tire on the bike will not change how securely the bike is held.
- (3) This is the quickest, easiest system available for loading/unloading your bike for transport. One person can easily roll the bike into place until it is captured by the restraint.

Well worth the investment
Purchased for: 2018 S1000RR Installed in: Mercedes Sprinter Install into the vehicle isn't difficult but requires patience as far as finding the best position for the plate. Having used straps in the past it was the best feeling having the bike secured in the floor rack within a couple minutes. Most reviews highlight the blown fork seals but it also removes the guessing from tightening the straps in the first place. Simple, fast, and this method of restraint should be the standard.

Not a practical fit
This product is advertised for 2005+ BMW 1200/1300 bikes other than the R1200RT. However, it will not really work for my bike, which is a 2008 K1200GT. The parts are well made, like all of the many Pit Bull products I've purchased. However, once installed, the right side of the trailer restraint hits the exhaust pipe. You can physically install the restraint through the rear axle opening, but there is zero clearance for suspension movement. This will not be practical, as the rear suspension is free to move up and down as the bike is transported in the trailer. The result will be a dented exhaust pipe. Not a good design. I haven't tried this on other BMW models, but I can't recommend it for the 2006-2009 K1200GT. The only way I can see to make this work is to remove the rear muffler attachment to let the exhaust move out of the way.
