RAM HANDLEBAR CLAMP BASE WITH M8 SCREWS

Posted by Mike K on 18th May 2023

RAM products work very well. I've used them on my last 3 bikes. For this base, make sure you have an M8 x 1.25 thread size bolt that can be replaced by the included bolt. Torque it to the proper spec and you're done. Great for mounting phones, GPS, radar detector, garage door opener, etc. Five minutes and you're rollin'.

RAM MOUNTS MOTORCYCLE HANDLEBAR CLAMP BASE WITH M8 SCREWS

Posted by Mike K on 17th May 2023

2022 BMW S1000 XR: After I determined that the bikes 4 handlebar clamp bolts are M8x1.25, I ordered this kit. I needed a 1" ball base to mount a socket arm and phone holder. The middle length supplied bolt matched the proper length of the handlebar clamp perfectly. I removed one of the bolts and replaced it with the RAM bolt and ball base, I used a torque wrench to finalize installation, attached the socket arm and phone holder, adjusted the angles so as not to block the view of the TFT screen and was done in 10 minutes. Very secure mount. I've used RAM mounts on my last three bikes with no issues. Highly recommended.

    Phone/GPS Mounting

Posted by JJB on 17th Feb 2017

I got the idea off a user forum for my Ninja 650R for how to mount a phone/gps. I used three items to mount the phone to my bars: Ram Mounts Short Double Socket Arm for 1" Ball Bases Ram Mounts Universal X-Grip Cell Phone Holder with 1" Ball Ram Mounts Motorcycle Handlebar Clamp Base with M8 Screws These are the screws (bolts) that hold the mount in. Only thing to note--they are black and my original ones were chrome. I may have ordered the wrong ones but it does not matter to me because they do not show under the mount. The three sizes are a great idea to get exactly what you need, and having extra grade 8 bolts is always helpful.

    Extremely Versitile

I spent an hour making one of these on my own out of an old Ram Mount that I had around the house, then looked online and found these. Since then, I have used them on my ATVs, and motorcycle. Using these, and the right size screws, you can mount just about anywhere.
