The Taichi NXL107 GP-EVO Suit represents the most radical suit design I have worn to this point. Taichi has formed a partnership with Alpinestars to manufacturer Tech-Air Compatible gear with the very first piece being the 107 suit. It is hand made in Japan using Japanese Cowhide (possibly the best race suit leather in the world) as it's base and a top quality supporting cast.

With this suit Taichi introduces a true rider focused fit pattern that is cut in the riding position and not a compromise between riding and standing. It is also important to note that we feel you need to wear the Alpinestars Tech-Air Race Vest with the suit in order for it to fit properly. When I first tried this on (without the Tech-Air Vest) I really questioned the direction they went with the fit.

From there I took the suit off and installed the airbag. To install the airbag in the suit you need to remove the liner in the upper body and install the airbag vest in between the shell of the suit and the removable mesh liner (Alpinestars has you zip the vest into the suit on top of the liner). Once this was done I pulled the suit back up, put on my boots, gloves and helmet then jumped on the STG R1 in the shop.

Once on the bike moving around a bit it was clear just how nonrestrictive the suit was. I am hoping to get a chance to ride in this suit this spring and will report more when that happens. If it feels as good while riding the bike as it does in the shop this is pretty exciting stuff to say the least.

RS TAICHI has continued developing a more comfortable, more flexible and less fatigue racing suits with top professional riders. Finally we will release evolutional new full racing pattern T.R.A.D.EVO. By making bending angle and position of each articular closer to the shape while riding motorcycle, you can move smoothly forward, backward, right and left. Flexible and high shock absorption CE approved protector for shoulders, elbows and knees, and 10mm thickness foam padding on collarbone and side of waist.

Innovative airbag system "TECH-AIR RACE SYSTEM"

TECH-AIR RACE SYSTEM is the result of on-going research and development, since Alpinestars commenced its rider airbag protection project over ten years ago. Electronic wireless airbag system activates in 45/1000 sec that offers extended protection. The LED illuminated indicator on the left sleeve shows battery and gas bomb remains. TECH-AIR system uses integrated, certified Lithium ion battery, with a battery life of 25 hours and a recharge time of approximately 6 hours.
