    Solid glove

Posted by JP Espiritu on 26th Mar 2021

Solid in 50 degree weather @ 60 mph for about 10 mins. . Good fit ordered a large, but could have fit a medium. I'm sure it could handle 40 degree weather. First pair of "winter" gloves and so far I'm satisfied. STG for the win!!

    Sonic Winter Gloves

Posted by Kyle on 18th Oct 2019

My old winter glove solution, a combo of cold killers glove liners and some non-vented leather track gloves, weren't cutting it on my longer, higher speed (mostly highway) commute, so I decided to invest in some warmer kit. I'll start by saying I love RS Taichi products and their gloves in particular; I always know I'm going to get the right fit for my hands, which are on the thinner side. These are my first set of dedicated winter gloves and the fit is pretty good overall and great on the motorcycle. The quality of the product is also typical RS Taichi: excellent. The insulated creates a bit of a disconnect between my hand and the controls, but I assume this is a common element of these type of gloves. Regarding keeping my hands warm, if I'm to be perfectly honest, I wish they would do a better job. Don't get me wrong, they are leaps and bounds better than my old set up, but instead of keeping my hands warm, they simply get less cold. I rode into work today, about a 25 -30 min commute at about 47F, mostly highway speeds, and my hands were just starting to hurt when I arrived. This is compared to my hands starting to hurt half way there with my old setup. To definitely an improvement, but not an optimal solution. Paired with heated grips, I think these would be great for colder temps.
