The Tech Pro Jeans are constructed from heavy weight Cordura Denim which is reinforced with T400 Nylon for enhanced abrasion resistance and tear strength. All Zone 1 areas are further reinforced with a terry knit Aramid lining which is unique to the Tech Pro Jeans and is key to achieving the AAA CE rating. Additionally, Level 2 CE armour is fitted to the hip and knee and the knee armour is 3-position adjustable for long-ride comfort on the bike! The Tech Pro Jeans have been cut to ride in, even on the aggressive riding position of sports bikes. With this in mind, we’ve added stretch areas over the knee and in the seat for comfort and enhanced ergonomics. If you’re after a serious riding jean that achieves the highest level of certification the Tech Pro Jean is the obvious choice.

RST Aramid Tech Pro CE Jeans

Posted by Craig D on 19th Jun 2023

Clearly these are jeans designed for serious riding. Very comfortable when on, although a bit heavy. They will not be comfortable in hot weather however. RST's other less technical jeans will work better on those temperatures, although not great. Very will made and sturdy. Now the negatives. The hip armor is very uncomfortable and the pocket it resides in is too small. The same is true of their other jeans, as I now own both. These are very short waisted jeans, and even with a belt, you will feel like they are slipping of your waist all the time. The extra rise and motion panel in the back is appreciated, but because of the these they moved the rear pockets so low, they are virtually useless. I don't recommend you put anything of value in them, or anything at all for that matter. The knee armor is comfortable and their pockets are much better than on their less expensive jeans. The armor is also very easy to adjust and stays where you put it. Why they didn't use the same system on their other jeans is beyond me. I'm sure It would have cost them less than a dollar to include. Despite those negatives, for the price point these are excellent quality and value, Definitely a two season jean, maybe three, but not in high heat.

RST ARAMID TECH PRO CE JEANS

Fit: accurate. I'm 6'0", 176 lbs. and wear a Levis 505 size 36x32 (I had been 15 lbs heavier and now need a belt to keep the 505's on; I do wear 34" waist dress slacks) - the 34" RST waist is perfect, as is the inseam - I can tuck a base polyester shirt along with a cotton t-shirt into the RST without problem. The "rise" of the RST is a bit shorter than what I am accustomed - the beltline sits perhaps just a bit lower than what I am used to (the beltline sits pretty much at my hips - definitely below my gut). I do not think I could fit a pair of armored shorts beneath. Overall, the fit is on the slimmer side - my wife would likely tell me that they are the best fitting jeans I have! I note that the rear pockets are situated below my ass. Armor: The knee armor works best in the middle position for me (it is easy to adjust). Hip armor is unobtrusive and does not interfere with the fit (make sure the hip armor is facing the correct way - I had to rotate one 180 degrees). As it is winter, I have not ridden in the jeans, but I have sat on my CBR 1100XX and both the knee and hip armor were comfortable. Fit over Boots: The leg openings fit over my Alpinestar Supertech boots (earlier generation) without a problem and the length was fine. Quality: Very good. no loose threads, everything appears as it should. Overall: Very pleased with the purchase. Also, the fabric does have some give/stretch. I will wear a belt with these, as I think due to the shorter rise, it feels as if the jeans are perhaps sitting just a bit low (but they are not - I'm apparently just use to wearing my "Dad" jeans, LOL!)

    sizing sucks

Posted by jesse crafford on 16th Apr 2021

video is not accurate about size. I am normally a size 30x30. got the 30x32 and the waist seems ok, could be little tighter but seems average. the issue is the length, at first I figured oi I have boots that's why they are longer, but the weight of the pants keep them very straight and when it's pulled straight, things get longer. the knee pads are half way down my shins and that just blows. unless you are heavy set or super tall, I'd say ideally this would be for someone a size 33/34 waist and normally a size 34 long

Best protective jeans for the price

Posted by Joey Chatterton on 18th Mar 2021

Recently had my car broken into and these were stolen. Ordered another pair because I liked them THAT much. Pros - Armor included, no additional purchase required, I'm serious - The back is higher to hide y'alls buttcrack while tucked. - Feels like blue jeans with armor - Fit is spot on with your regular blue jeans - Overall CE AAA, highest rating, plus CE level 2 armor in hips and knees - Serious protection for little money. - Machine washable without the armor, washed my pair regularly, I air dried mine, but YMMV. Never tried machine drying Cons - Some weight, but the layers of material and armor doesn't help. - Wanna adjust the armor in the knees? Do it before your ride, pretty much turning them inside out to adjust them - The elastic stretch panel above the knees is hate or it love it - They're thick. So in extreme heat, 100+ youll hate em. But on cooler days youll love em. So to recap, the Pro's side is big, and the con's are just small daily use problems, cosmetic problem, they're thick because they're protective. Protection>Thickness Did I forget to mention 200 bucks for more protection than a 2 piece suit leather bottom. AND the armor is INCLUDED. Those other brands casually mention it in the description, then if you didn't realize. Now you gotta spend another $100 on armor. Spend $200 and get seriously the best protection for street riding jeans offered.

    Badazz protective riding jeans.

Posted by Matthew on 8th Mar 2021

I wanted a pair of really protective jeans and after watching all of Van's video reviews available, I chose the RST Tech Pro. I got them yesterday and they're awesome. The stretch panels are really well-thought out, the extra coverage at the back is great when in a tuck for covering your buttcrack and your lower back. The Level 2 armor feels solid. And the cordura denim itself feels nice and robust. These fit me just fine in terms of size and I'm glad I pulled the trigger. Someone else noted that the knee armor feels a bit weird when you're walking around--yeah, I agree. You notice it. But it's not terribly uncomfortable and to me, it's worth it. If you get these jeans instead of another pair or brand, you're mostly concerned with protection so you may have to give a tiny bit on walking around comfort. To me, it's worth it. Super product, my first from RST and I'm glad I got them. Thanks, Van and friends! Bottom line: If you want a pair of riding jeans that are really about protection first, go with these. I couldn't find anything else that seemed as protective and as I said, I watched all of Van's videos and looked through the entire SBTG jeans catalog. Safety first, my friends.

i have a short inseam. despite that the knee pads could be moved to a comfortable spot on my legg. the jeans run a little big around the waste, and they are stretchy. i bought these so i could ride my cruiser to events and have more than blue jean protection

    Top Quality

These jeans are very heavy duty for sure. I went with a size 34, it's a little big on me, but a 32 would be tight. I like the fact that it comes with the Knee and Hip armour. Nice looking jeans for sure, these are made for riding and not so much walking. I'm glad I went with RST, best bang for the buck. They do get hot if it's hot outside, so be wary of that, good thing for the mesh liner.

RST Aramid Tech Pro CE Jeans

First pair of protective riding jeans. Heavy and durable, very good quality fabrics and well made. I got a 32 and they fit good. A little long but a tailor could fix that for cheap. This being my first pair of protective jeans, it took a little while to get used to the knee pads. Walking in these jeans for any reasonable amount of time with the knee pads in are a pain. But they are not meant for walking!
