    Great value short cuff gloves

Posted by Thomas Chu on 29th Sep 2024

I got the RST Tractech Evo 4 short gloves to replace my aging Alpinestars SPX Air Carbon v2. In terms of protection, these two are comparable, both have palm sliders, KP Lvl 1 protection, and stitched pinky for the fingers. It is also great to fit under jackets since it is not a gauntlet glove. In terms of improvement over the A*s, the RSTs also have a Kevlar lining and is much more flexible to wear for my hands (did not need breaking in at all) while having a similar thickness as the A*s. Additionally, these gloves are $40 cheaper than my A*s, which beats it in value. I would consider these somewhat of an upgrade in protection compared to the Air Carbon V2 but retains high value due to it's price point.

    Nice gloves

This was a new brand to me, but I needed a replacement for my Scorpion SGS Mark 2 gloves. These RST gloves seem a little nicer than my Scorpions. In terms of fit, I just ordered my regular size (M), and they fit very similar to the Scorpions, and to a pair of Sedici gloves as well. I like the gloves, and I'll look at some of RSTs other products. Brian's recommendation and video is accurate, these are worth considering.

    Buy it

Decided to give it a shot based on the positive reviews RST products get from STG. The materials used for the gloves feels tops notch! The black/white color combo looks nice and clean! For the price point they sell it for, it’s definitely a better bargain. I have alpinestars gloves that have less protection that costs more. The glove fits mostly true to size. It does feel a little “looser” on the finger width, but still feels good on the hand.

    Great deal!

Went into the store on the hunt for some gloves to ride in the early spring/late fall here in Michigan, they recommended these gloves. Really happy with them overall, the only thing keeping from a 5 star in my eyes is that the overall finish is about 95% as nice as some of the high end brands, considering the price and quality of the materials it's an amazing deal though, "Bryan Van RST fanboi" isn't lying about them comparing way above their price class.

    What a steal

First off, quality is top. After using the Alpinestars SPX air carbon (which i liked) those started to fall apart (velcro area) after 2 riding seasons. I wanted another pair that has the palm "slider" and also the pinky stitch to prevent losing a pinky on a low side. Not a lot of great options for those features under 100 dollars but these gloves had both. Velcro is much higher quality than the alpine stars and also seems to have re-enforced hide in the palm area which is even more gravy for this deal. Gloves take barely any breaking in too! Ready to go right out and wear & comfortable! Only thing i noticed...In Alpinestars i am a large. in RST i am medium. Max Van helped me sort this out as the first pair of RST's i got i had to return. Anyways i HIGHLY recommend these gloves. I think I may look into RST boots next season once the Alpinestars are ready to retire in the garage rafters...

    Phenomenal quality!

I live in the U.S. and am incredibly safety conscious when it comes to motorcycle gear. I'm willing to pay for "the best," and I don't buy simply on brand name recognition. I've found that most MC vendors either hawk their own wares (and don't disclose their ownership interest), or they're too heavily focused on the "big" brands. This is not the case with STG. First, whenever I research a product, I always start with STG to see if they have a review; because if they do, I know I can rely on Van's and Max's objective, honest, and transparent assessment of whatever the product is. Moreover, these guys live the lifestyle and actually USE/TEST/RIDE in the gear they sell. As a MC gear consumer, this is invaluable and gives us sound credibility upon which we can rely. A few days ago, I ordered a pair of these RST gloves from STG. This is a brand I've been aware of for awhile, yet had not purchased before. I asked Max a couple of questions, and he was swift to reply, giving his honest view on the gloves, and so I bought them. When the gloves arrived, I knew instantly I'd found my go-to brand, because the quality was/is top-notch! I'm a self-professed "gear junkie," particularly when it comes to gloves. Candidly, my "glove-a-holicism" is a pronounced addiction, which has me in constant pursuit of the ideal glove. I am certain I found it in your Evo 4 Short CE gloves. I bought a size Small, knowing they'd stretch, and after watching Van's review. Van and Max were wonderful to deal with, and are first-rate ambassadors for the brands they sell. Moreover, they're my exclusive vendor here in the U.S. because of their credibility and transparency. These guys are not mere salesmen; rather, they live the lifestyle and stand behind the products they sell. I can't sing their praises loudly enough (same as with your gloves). The instant I put them on, the feel and fit exuded first rate quality and craftsmanship. In the 15+ pair of leather gloves I own, never before have I experienced a perfect fit in both gloves and in every single figure. Just incredible! I promptly went on a 200 mile ride and practiced slow-speed handling drills for 20 minutes. To me, it's in slow-speed practice where a glove's mettle is truly tested. Repeated, millimeter precision with varying degrees of force/pressure is exerted, and feel is paramount. Again, never before have I experienced this in a glove.

RST TracTech EVO 4 short gloves

Posted by Dave on 7th Sep 2022

Amazing glove at an amazing price point! I wear a large in most gloves and ordered these in a large. They fit and feel great. These gloves are replacing my Dainese 4 Stroke EVO’s. The fit on the RST is slightly roomier and the finger length was a touch longer which I liked. The Dainese gloves took a while to break in and were really tight brand new. With the RST gloves, there is no break in period and they are ready to go out of the box. I highly recommend them and will be definitely buying another pair.
