Dont let the shirt design fool you. Its a jacket with all the options to be fully protected. I'll let you read up on features for that. As with all jackets, it doesn't matter how short or tall you are, its all about the chest measurements. I'm the in-between L-XL guy with a 44 chest (5'6", 185lbs if that matters to you). I got the XL. The armpits are restrictive, but tolerable (its something you get used to with sportbike leather jackets). Sleeves are loose enough, but not too big. Waistline is generous for the dad-bods waistlines like mine. The material will NOT breathe if you are looking for a warm-weather shirt/jacket. Optional zippered vents would have been nice. Another wish would have been for some kind of functioning flex material around the shoulder / armpit area for riding position extensions. As mentioned, the armpits are restrictive if you have a muscular build with wide laterals (latissiumus dorsi). Overall its a good protective jacket. Its a matter of the riders build to determine if its a comfortable fit.
