The Scorpion EXO-R1 Air Helmet Weighed 3.15 lbs in a size Medium on our shipping scale.
We feel the Scorpion EXO-R1 Air Helmet has an Intermediate Oval Shape, while offering a comfortable fit with a relatively easy on / off effort. Using Van as the benchmark he measures 58cm with an Intermediate Oval Head Shape which according to the Scorpion Size Chart puts him in a medium. In his opinion The size Medium EXO-R1 Air Helmet delivers a comfortable fit that is very similar to the Shoei X-14, AGV Corsa (medium small), HJC RPHA 11 PRO and Bell Pro Star Helmets in the same size (medium).

Top notch and ridiculously light weight

I've always been a shoei kind of guy but decided to go out on a limb and try scorpion. Fits exactly like a shoei and the fabrics are very soft. For an all carbon fiber helmet it is quieter then I imagined. Flows air really well with the vents open and the anti fog system works as expected. The center lift for the face shield takes some getting used to. I went with the high gloss and get compliments everywhere i go. It's as stable as an arrow and turning your head at high speed is almost not a factor. Probably because of how snug and light the helmet is. The adjustable air cheek pads should be a standard feature. All around a wonderful helmet.

I was skeptical about purchasing this helmet because I have been an Arai fan for years but I was pleasantly surprised. I chose this helmet because of its safety ratings and I liked the ability to pump up the fit with the cheek air pads when I am on the track. Based of the size chart I would have been a medium but went with the large (which is my typical size) and it fits perfect. Very Happy with it!
