Opening on this xl is pretty tight. Once on, they are a little snug, wish i had went 2xl. Very nice construction, pretection is very good for a non gauntlet glove with the KNox palm features!!

    Good Warm Weather Gloves

Posted by Unknown on 7th Apr 2021

Haven't been down in them, so can't comment on how they hold up. Been riding in them for a week, so can't comment on longevity. Otherwise, they're my favorite pair of street gloves, even compared to some alpinestars and Racer (the company) gloves. The leather is reasonably thick, but pliable and comfortable. The protective features are roughly equivalent to my track gloves, but without the gauntlet, and they still breathe reasonably well. Sizing is weird. I wear a large in other brands but the chart said XL for me (little over 9" palm). They feel ever so slightly big in the finger girth, but finger length is spot on while riding. They don't feel "snug" like my Racer gauntlet gloves, but they are still comfortable and don't bunch up. There are a couple loose threads sticking out on the fingers, but I burned them with a lighter to prevent fraying. They're fantastic gloves so far, and the sub-$100 price is hard to beat for what they offer.

    First Month

Posted by Pedro López Velarde Peña on 2nd Dec 2019

I am writing this review as it was suggested by STG's programme, but I really wanted to share my first thoughts and my experience in this month of usage. These gloves are very comfy, and feel sturdy. The construction seems very well done, and protection is well thought and done in layers as it should be; I came from a pair of Alpinestarts SP-05 which only lasted 3000 km which felt very good, but in comparison, protection feels worse thatn Scorpion's. Be prepared for these to expand a lot. I was between Large and Medium sizes per Scorpion's chart, and first bought the large ones. They felt very good, but I knew that they would be oversized by the time they gave space. This was the best decision (even though I cursed a couple of times while they were new), and the gloves break around 100km of usage. Only Con, is the strap, don't even *think* of pulling them, the seam cracked a bit when I did so.; also they seem very thin, but they do their job of keeping the glove secure to your wrist. I really like these gloves, will update this review once I have used them more.

    Scorpion SGS MK II Gloves

Posted by Todd Mckechnie on 7th May 2019

I really like these gloves. As they broke in they got more comfortable. I will note that the sizing chart said xxxl gloves for me. I don't have large hands like sausage fingers, but I do have a slightly large hand for my size. After several hand injuries, I have to wear gloves that are usually bigger then size charts recommend. Well these I went to a XXL not the XXXL like the size chart recommended. But honestly my right hand could have maybe gone XX.5L if they had just a slightly bigger glove. But the XXXL seemed to be a little small. Now that the glove has broken in, it does fit better, time will tell how well after its fully broken in. Quality it excellent and I can use my phone with the glove on (S9+) without issues. All in all I would recommend these gloves.

Great gloves and worth the money

Posted by Rawdo from Miami Beach on 1st Nov 2017

These gloves feel soo good when you put them on the inside is like soft silk or some very soft comfortable feeling fabric. They offer great protection that makes them strong and a great looking glove. They are all season gloves to me because my hands don't sweat in them while riding my Yamaha R3 in this miami heat, I guess thats probably because the inside is moisture wicking. The only problem i have with these gloves is the inner stitching, Scorpion should've taking their time with the stitching process and made sure that the entire glove is evenly stitched together. The inner stitching on the left pinky is very thick and presses hard on my pinky while gripping the handlebars which is extremely painful so i had to flip it inside out (not too challenging) and cut off some excess leather and it feels great now. The right ring finger stitching is complete uneven which makes it a little too roomy on the finger. The sizing is spot on (large) the break-in period is not bad, and the knox sliders are very beneficial. All in all this is a well worth the money, bang for the buck glove. If you're looking for short cuff that offers great protection that wont't break your pockets, this is it.

Lot of glove for the money

Posted by JC in NC on 6th Jul 2017

These gloves are just what I needed for a summer time glove with excellent protective features. The fit is on par with other euro sizes (think Alpinestars). I typically wear XL with those guys and XL for these Scorpions gloves is spot on. A bit snug at first, but the leather has broken in well after only a few rides. I like the big knuckle protectors and the Knox palm sliders were a major selling point for me after an accident a few years back. The gloves do have some small perforations along the fingers and panel on the back of the wrist, but airflow is minimal at best. I just wore the gloves on a 103 degree heat index day here in central NC and I can confirm these gloves aren't going to flow much air. However, it will allow your hands to release some moisture. When it's this hot my hands aren't the most uncomfortable part of my body though. I don't think I'd want to wear these gloves when it gets cool. The gloves use lots of leather throughout, although it doesn't appear to be the highest quality like you'd find on higher end gloves. It isn't as supple as other gloves I've owned and does need a bit to break in. However, for the price I can't complain. Stitching looks good so far, although I do question the longevity of the velcro wrist strap. Seems like it could wear apart after a few seasons of use. For now though, I am very happy with the gloves. At around $80 you are getting a lot of quality motorcycle glove for the money. Scorpion has done a good job figuring out how to get quality motorcycle-specific protection into affordable packages.

    Second chance

Posted by Robert on 14th Jun 2017

Let me start out by saying like so many other people my gloves seem to have holes in the stitching after some use. However the comfort and the fit for myself was so great that I decided to give them another chance. The quality for the price in terms of protection is huge. To my surprise they must have been listening because they have redone the stitching in the pointer finger which that's where I had the issue with. It looks like it's going to hold up a lot better. I don't have first-hand experience with the gloves as far as holding up on a get off. As a matter of fact I like the glove so much that my pair that has holes in the stitching is being sent to Anthony's leatherworks for repair.

    Best bang for the buck

I don't know if you're going to find nicer gloves for the money. They're just really well built with tons of protection. Some perforation so the don't get too hot when the temps are high. I commute in them daily and they still look and feel as nice as the day I got them. Highly recommended.
