The ONLY shield you'd ever need
Tired of alternating shields, I finally took the plunge and bought the Transitions for my Shoei X-15. Is it a bit pricey? Yes, consider the cost of having two additional shields in addition to the clear one that came with your helmet. A Dark Smoke will set you back, what.....$60 or $70? A mirrored/colored one costs slightly around $120-$130, plus, changing shields is a giant PIA. IMO, the price is justifiable .

Transitions face shield for RF1400
This is my third shield and hopefully I’ll never be without one. The flexibility of sun block from clear to dark is a great comfort. My eyes are thankful. I used to be a two shield man, no longer, and no longer running a clear shield with sunglasses. These are expensive shields, yes they are, but I tell myself I’m worth it. I didn’t realize that the performance expectation is 3-5 years and when my first one started losing its edge I read the literature. Now I cover the helmet at every opportunity when it’s not in use just to get those few extra miles out of it. Try it and I’m sure you’ll Agee that the performance is well worth it!

If I have any complaints it would be that I thought shield would come with pin lock visor.

Freaking awesome
I got on the list waiting for this visor. Once I got the email I ordered it immediately. 100% worth the wait. So stoked not needing sunglasses, or having to bring a 2nd lens with me. It could be a touch darker, but it is sooooo nice. I would purchase again.

Must have visor
I’ve been patiently waiting for this item since Shoei first put it on their site at the beginning of the new year. I upgraded from a Shoei RF-1200 with the transitional visor to the RF-1400. I had the transitional visor for about 5 years before I sold the helmet and it never faded. It continued to tint to a smoked black. I am hoping that the new visor will do the same and last as long. The price is well worth it. Long gone are the days of me having to swap out clear and dark visors and also getting stuck at night with a smoked visor. Visor transitions pretty fast and is dark enough to my liking. If you’re on the fence, buy it. Thanks again STG for being literally the only business to have them in stock. You guys rock

Soooooo Worth It
There’s nothing else to say about this… but get it. My wife had one on her SF-RF and I had been jealous about it. Now I have one as well, turns smoke QUICK and gets plenty dark. No more carrying a second shield incase your out into the night hours. BTW, my wife is on year three and no issues with it still working.
