The Sidi Rex Boots are replacing the Sidi Vortice in their road race boot line up. This boot was designed with the assistance of Loris Capirossi (former MotoGP Rider and current MotoGP Safety Adviser) and is poised to be the run with the leaders in the High End Road Race Boot Category. Here are STG we like what we see in the Rex Boots and are eager to get them out on the track for a proper test. We have an air shipment of these boots on the way to us that will be available late October 2018 making us the very first US Retailer with these boots in stock.
We find the Sidi Res Boots to run consistent with their size chart for most riders having average to narrow width feet. Riders with width well above average may need to go up one size. The 1/2 size over compensates for the extra width needed and the extra length is easily managed with the adjustment system making it a non-issue. Excellent boot that fits wide feet.
Can’t say enough about these boots. I have been wearing Sidi’s for over 20 years and they never disappoint. If you have a wide foot these are your boots. Very little break in and excellent protection.

Best Boots Ever
Well after several years the old Sidi Vortice Boots needed to be replaced. Watched your comparison video which helped convince me it was time for the new Rex Boots. LOVE THEM and putting them on and taking them off is so much easier then the older Vortice. Looking forward to several years out of these as well.

Initial review after first use.
Purchased these to replace my Sidi Vortice boots that were long overdue. I wore a size 43 in those and found them to be a perfect fit. I ordered a size 43 in these and after riding in them they are also a perfect fit. When you first get them they do need to break in. My toes just barely touched the front of the boot standing upright and the sides of the boot where the lateral reinforcement is was a little tight. After a day at the track they loosened up to where I feel as if they fit just like the boots I replaced so if they feel like I described when I first put them on you will have to make a judgement call on if they will break in enough for you, because if you ride in them you own them (I knew this and made the decision that I would give it a shot, and I am glad I did as they now fit and feel great). A few points of note are that they feel even more robust than my Vortice's and one thing I was really happy about was that they do not squeak. My Vortice's always squeaked when I walked in them from day one. The side vent operates smoother on the Rex as compared to the Vortice. They are slightly narrower to my calf on the sides (where the reinforcement plates are) and if you had a suit that was a little baggy in that area it may cause a pressure point so keep that in mind. Overall I really like these boots. Buy with confidence.
