tank pads
I was using another pad on my tank, but they started leaving black marks on my suit and pants. This type of rubber won't be doing that any time soon. I put them on and took my bike for a ride. I was unsure when I ordered them, but that first ride changed my way of thinking. My legs were in place and my grip was rock solid. StompGrip makes a set of pads for my bike and they include a small piece that goes under the tank. That was a big plus. There's a lot of pressure at that point and it's important to get some traction there. I'm psyched for the next track day.

Great investment
I wish I would’ve ordered these tank grip pads as soon as I bought my bike. I scratched my tank badly by leaning off the bike in jeans. These pads are easy to install and stick like glue, no loose edges. Clean tank throughly with isopropyl alcohol. Heat tank pad and tank with blow dryer or heat gun. These pads grip and look great aesthetically. I have the red 17 gsxr 1000 so these worked perfectly with the scheme.
