    Works as designed!!

So at first I was unsure that I wanted to put anything on my tank, let me tell you it makes a huge difference in how I handle my bike, keeps legs secured in turns, less hand fatigue and the overall aesthetics of the grips flow extremely well with the design of the bike... However the rear of the pad seems a little useless since my legs don't touch at the curve. I am a little taller at 6' so maybe a longer section towards the front of the bike would make this a bit more practical overall though... Great job, great product! Definitely recommend.

    Needs better cut design

Posted by Unknown on 16th Nov 2015

Purchased Snakeskin version. Nice, sturdy material and does provide a very nice grip surface for your legs. Pad is thicker than expected and even dampens a bit of vibrations from tank. Problem is the cut they decided on is subpar. I'm 5'10" and the bottom section (towards the seat) that curves downward is completely unnecessary. My inner thighs have very little force touching that section unless you move way too forward to the tank. Natural sitting position just doesn't have much contact with that patch and anyone taller would have even less. The pad should have been lengthened towards the front of the bike since the pad only covers about 1/2 my leg. The contact patch where my knees are is uncovered. The cut of the pad also causes problems with the bottom section because of the curvature of the FZ-07's tank. Adhesive came undone overnight because the material of the pad is fairly stiff and will want to pop off a sharp angle. YMMV depending how abusive you are to that section of the pad.
