Snake Skin Tank Grip:

X-Line 2 Tank Grip:
TechSpec's X-Line 2 is a thin (.045"), medium durometer rubber skin with a raised dot pattern. The material is thin, lightweight, and has a high coefficient of friction comparable to that of TechSpec's original XLine material, yet less expensive and more durable!

Trouble getting them to stick
I purchased this for my wife's R3 as well as my 600. They went on fine with the metal gas tank on the 600 but we are having a tough time keeping them glued down on the R3 despite doing all the recommended prep before installing. I think the problem may be with the shape of the R3 tank in addition to the fact that it is covered in plastic and flexes. I wouldn't recommend putting these on but rather would look at the thinner version since they may wrap around and stick to the tank better.
