Lower your rotating drag substantially (just like Max Van on his bike) with this custom picked chain and sprocket kit! We have been running this set up on the STG Yamaha R3 Project Bike for 2 seasons now with excellent results. Replacing the OEM o-ring chain and sprockets with this kit resulted in a consistent 3-4 mph more top speed on the straight at Grattan Raceway (our home track). This was measured using the AiM Solo DL GPS Lap Timer.

We feel this kit is a much better option than the 415 kits that have shown to lack reliability over and over again. Nothing is worse than losing a race or track time to a preventable mechanical failure. On the R3 we ran the same chain for more than 1 full season with a ton of laps ran with zero issues.

STG recommends this kit for track use only.

Kit Contents:

Your choice of 14 or 15 tooth Vortex steel front sprocket
Your choice of 41-44 tooth Vortex colored aluminum sprocket, available in standard, CAT5, or F5 Hardcoat
Your choice of color of a 120 link EK 520MXR3D chain, with clip style master link.

Note:The 520MXR3D chain is a non o-ring chain. STG recommends more chain cleaning and lubrication than you would perform on an o/x-ring chain. This maintenance is key to getting the maximum performance and life from this chain kit.
