The Vortex Racing Headlift Stand delivers a ton of quality and performance at an affordable price. It uses quad bearing wheels for super stable, easy lifting. This stand will lift the motorcycle from the bottom of the steering stem and allow for fork removal etc... It includes five steering stem pins that will allow for lifting of most any modern sportbikes with a hole in the bottom of the steering stem. The included pins will cover most all of the modern Japanese models. Buy with confidence, this is an excellent entry to mid-level stand.

  • 15mm
  • 16.5mm
  • 17mm
  • 18mm

STG Motorcycle Stand Buyers Guide

The Motorcycle Stand in this listing is a good entry to mid-level stand in our opinion. If we did not feel it was a quality product, you wouldn't find it on the site. When you visit our site it doesn't take long to discover we do things a little different here at STG. We want you to be happy with all the stuff you purchase from us, and we put a lot of effort into our product reviews to help you choose the best item for your needs. Motorcycle stands are one of those items where there is a significant difference between mid-level and high-end. If you have high-end expectations then we suggest purchasing one of the models we promote in our Motorcycle Stand Buyers Guide.

    Vortex Head list stand

I don't think you'll find a better value in a head stand. Great quality, and easy assembly.

Very happy with this for the price. Ideal for when you need to work on your forks or steering head.

    Bang for the buck

I bought this for my Street Triple. A very good stand for the $$. Much better than the other budget stands I have encountered. The video on how to assemble was excellent as well since this comes with no instructions.

    Not bad for the price

Posted by SCOTT DEHOTMAN on 19th Oct 2021

Received in a timely fashion, assembly was ok thanks to the Youtube video as there are no instructions included in the box. Unit shipped with basic pin sizes, but did not include one for my Ducati which I had to order from a different merchant as I couldn't locate individual pins on the STG website (I needed a 27mm).

Vortex Headlift Stand - good try for low $

Posted by Scott DeHotman on 17th Oct 2021

Received my front headlift stand and have just 2 negatives and a ton of positves. Negative: did not contact the 27mm pin I need for my Ducati Monster. Welded nuts and supplied hardware for attaching hoop handle to legs can be prone to misalignment (mostly, but not all, user error) which will cause cross threading.

    Vortex Headlift Stand

Great stand for a budget price make it an awesome value. Easy to assemble, and very stable because of the gauge of the metal used.

    decent enough

Posted by Timothy Jensen on 30th Jul 2021

It's good enough. I'm a little bummed that Vortex is having these made in PRC now. Because of the wonky front end of the Ninja 400 it won't fit because of the fairings. Also the '400 takes a 21 or 22mm pin, and this doesn't come with one. Works just great with other more normal bikes like the Triumph Street Triple.

    Great for DIY maintenance

Posted by Chuck on 28th Apr 2021

A solid triple tree stand with 5 bits included. Turns out I needed a larger bit than the ones included but the largest one included did the job, check yours. I used it to hold up the front end while I took off the wheel for a tire change. It felt stable and much more confidence inspiring than a fork stand. I would recommend it for DIY maintenance but would probably not recommend for heavy usage like a race team.
